Regular Dental Care Can Save Your Life!
A connection exists between dental health and total health! This fact was highlighted in the 2000 Surgeon General report, which also stated that poor oral health promotes the onset of many life threatening diseases.
Many studies have identified gum disease as a risk factor for heart and lung disease; diabetes; digestive and respiratory disorders; pre-term low birth weight babies; osteoporosis and a number of other conditions.
In addition, signs and symptoms of many potentially life-threatening diseases often appear in the mouth before they show up anywhere else. We routinely screen for these signs and symptoms during regular oral health examinations. You could say we give a healthy smile a whole new meaning!
Gum disease is usually painless in its early stages, but the earlier it is detected and treated, the better the outcome. You and your family deserve the best.

SMILE MAKEOVERS - Importance of a Regular Check-up!The clean bright result of a professional dental cleaning isn’t the only reason to visit us on a regular basis. Here’s a list of some of the many other services we provide during your continuing care appointments:
1. Review and update your medical history. Knowing what medications you’re taking is essential to ensure that your dental treatments don’t conflict with your current health conditions or medications, and vice versa. We also need to know of any health changes, surgeries, and conditions that may be different since your last appointment with us.
2. Oral Cancer exam.
3. Visual examination and X-rays of your teeth to detect decay or deterioration and to catch problems before they get worse.
4. Evaluation of your gum tissue and periodontal health.
5. Scaling of the teeth ensures that bacteria is removed from around and below the gum line. If the bacteria (plaque) is not removed daily, it becomes hardened. If this calculus is not removed, it irritates and inflames the gums, creating deeper crevices, or pockets. This ultimately leads to gum disease, which is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. The hardened plaque cannot be removed with tooth brushing or flossing and must be removed by instruments, which is a main reason for coming in 2 or 3 times a year.
6. Discussions on any concerns or questions you may have on regular oral care or possible cosmetic enhancements.

Dental Implants Are you a candidate for Dental Implants?
Patients of all ages have chosen dental implants to replace either a single tooth, several teeth or to support partial or full dentures. An implant is a man-made “anchor” that are artificial replacements for natural tooth roots. Implants can help restore the ability to chew food and help to fill out a face that sometimes look “sunken” because of missing teeth.
Dental implants have been used for several decades. According to the American Dental Association, more patients are choosing them as an option to replace missing teeth. There is an overall success rate of about 95% and almost 50 years of clinical research to back them up. They are frequently the best treatment option for replacing missing teeth.
No matter what age you are, and have one or many teeth to replace, a dental implant could be the perfect solution for you.

Teeth Whitening As seen on ABC’s hit "Extreme Makeover"
ZOOM! Chairside Whitening System is a scientifically advanced tooth whitening procedure. It’s safe, effective and fast, very fast. In just under a couple hours your teeth will become dramatically whiter. ZOOM! Chairside Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results.
The most common causes of tooth discoloration are aging and consumption of staining substances such as coffee, tea, sodas, tobacco, red wine, etc. Once you have the in-office whitening completed, your teeth will always be lighter than they were before. However, to keep your teeth looking their best, our office will also send you home with Whitening Trays, so you can do “touch-up” bleaching as needed. For some people this is monthly; for others it may be every 6-8 months or so. These are included in the cost of the ZOOM! treatment. Please call to schedule your ZOOM! Whitening appointment today!
