Dr. George has been in practice for over twenty years and has extensive experience in creating beautiful smiles. His specialty training as a prosthodontist gives him the ability to analyze and correct challenging dental problems. This will provide you with the gorgeous and functional result that you have been looking for. Dr. George specialty includes the restorations of dental implants. This can make a dramatic improvement in your life and well-being. If you are missing a single tooth a dental implant can be used to replace it and avoid damage to your adjacent teeth that conventional dentistry would cause. If you have dentures that do not fit, your denture can be transformed with the use of a few implants into an amazingly retentive and comfortable prosthesis that will give you renewed confidence and assurance in smiling and eating again. Dr. George is also trained in Maxillofacial prosthetics and creates beautiful natural facial prostheses for patients that have surgery, accidents or birth defects. This could include an ear or a nose and may involve special implants to help retain these prostheses. Dr. George went through his dental training in one of the most prestigious dental schools in the country, Northwestern University Dental School. He graduated from there in 1982. He followed this with two years of specialty training in prosthodontics at Wadsworth V.A. Hospital in Los Angeles and then went to Houston, Texas to specialize even further in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at M.D. Anderson Hospital where he worked with Head and Neck Cancer and Cleft Palate Patients. Dr. George has gained a great deal of clinical insight through his training and even more through his twenty seven years of dental practice. Dr. O’Brien graduated from the prestigious University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco and was then accepted to UCLA’s Advanced Graduate Prosthodontics Residency Program where he went on to become a certified Prosthodontist, one of the nine official specialties in dentistry. This unique and intensive training is the only true specialty recognized and accepted by the American Dental Association for the diagnosis, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral health of patients with missing or deficient teeth. Because of the prestigious nature of his education, Dr. O’Brien is well known for his ability to treat patients with difficult dental situations both functionally and esthetically. He has also published in the field of Prosthodontics internationally and lectured throughout the west coast.
