Invisalign
Instead of wires and brackets to move your teeth, Invisalign uses transparent custom-formed aligners that look like bleaching trays—only thicker and stronger.  There is no more trauma to the mouth, tongue, or lips which are often caused by the brackets.  The aligners are removable; so, you have full access to brush and floss your teeth.  This means there is no additional risk of cavities or gingivitis.  Additionally, invisalign aligners move the teeth a little bit slower than traditional braces.  This means there is no risk of developing boneloss or gum disease, which is common with traditional orthodontic treatment.  Moreover, the slower movement means there is little to no discomfort associated with Invisalign treatment.  In short, why get braces, when you can get Invisalign. 

Esthetic dentistry
It used to be that the phrase “esthetic dentistry” would automatically mean “expensive”.  This is no longer the case.  Today’s patients don’t’ have to feel the pain in their mouths or their wallets.  In the past, large cavities in the back teeth would usually require a crown, inlay, or onlay restoration.  These esthetic restorations could cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, because they involve lab work.  This is not the case anymore since the advent of the new composite or resin materials.
